I first came to make art by studying it and exploring its origins. I developed a passion for proccess and material by experimenting though trial and error. Incorporating and repurposing found material became a way for me to reerence a variety of concepts, like value and proportion. At the heart of my work is editing and reworking until the dialog reaches a particular dilema. I think and plan before I start working, but once I have started, I am acting and responding to the conversation within the painting.
